Leighton Linslade Community Fridge

Leighton Linslade Community Fridge is the First Community Fridge for our town and is part of a national network of Community Fridges through a charitable organisation called The Hubbub Foundation www.hubbub.org.uk. Working primarily in partnership with Fairshare www.fareshare.org.uk, Neighbourly www.neighbourly.com and Co-op www.coop.co.uk, but we will be building connections with all local supermarkets and food businesses as the Community Fridge grows.

What is a Community Fridge?
A Community Fridge is a space where everyone can share surplus food, including donations from local food businesses, supermarkets, producers, households and gardens. Access is open to everyone in our community who wish to use it, either to donate surplus food that we can accept, or to access food that is available. This self help #GreenEnvironmental scheme will help to eliminate food wastage and reduce landfill waste.

Our Community Fridge is run entirely by volunteers from Leighton Linslade Helpers for the community. We hope you will make use of it and spread the word.

Our opening hours are:
Monday - 1:00pm – 3:30pm
Tuesday - 11:00am - 3:00pm
Wednesday - 11:00am - 2:00pm
Thursday - 1:00pm – 3:30pm
Friday - 11:00am - 3:00pm
Saturday - 10:00am - 2:00pm

We operate from 30 Waterborne Walk, Leighton Buzzard, LU7 1DH bringing us closer to the community.
Please feel free to come and see us off the High Street where you can collect your food parcels and access the community fridge.
